Sustainability is for us self-evident and we do not try to differentiate ourselves over it. For us sustainability is a mininum requirement.

Use of sustainable and natural materials.

Choosing materials for a product is the first step a designer has an impact on the environment.

Today’s clothing production is vastly based on synthetic materials. They are cheap to produce but unfortunately it takes them many years to degrade thus leaving waste behind for many years to come. Our policy is to use as much as possible natural materials, such as cotton, wool or linen and also materials from animal skins such fur and leather.

Over 90% of the material used in our products is of natural origin. In certain cases, we use synthetic materials for functionality (e.g. stretch) and protection (e.g. water-repelling) reasons.

Fur and leather materials are always from wild or semi-wild source, the means that the animals have not lived in captivity and where either hunted in order to control the animal population or the skins are a by-product of the meat industry. Timeless design and product quality.

Our design philosophy follows the principle of not creating anything wasteful into this world. Therefore, the products need to be functional and long-lasting in design, so that our customers want to enjoy them for a long time. We aim to create products that do not go out of fashion next season but are timeless in their design.

Together with our production partners we strive to create products that are durable and last, so that our customer can enjoy them for a long time.

Timeless design and high product quality will hopefully convince consumers to buy less and instead buy products of higher aesthetic value and quality.

Sustainable operations and degradable packaging

Where possible we try to produce as locally to our consumers as possible so that we do not create unnecessary CO2 emissions. And most of our factories are nearby in the European Union. However, sometimes it makes ecological sense to also produce at the source of the raw material, for example in Asia in the case of cashmere products.

When shipping our materials and products to and from factories and also customer deliveries we always use carbon neutral shipping options.

In the production process we have eliminated any excess waste such as plastics for package, wherever possible.

We try to reduce the waste from packaging as much as possible. Of course, we have never used plastic bags. At the moment we provide recycled papers bags for our customers, but we would like to even further and offer soon a bag option that the customer will not through and will use for many years.

Order confirmation

Payment methods

Credit card
We accept Visa, Amex and Master Card. Obligatory information when paying by credit card is cardholder’s name, credit card number, security code and the end date of validity.
Security code is the 3-digit code on the backside of the card.

Finnish web-bank payment
We accept most Finnish web-bank payments through Paytrail. 


Delivery time and price varies between countries. If the processing of the order is delayed, we will inform you.

Please note that during sales period delivery times may exceed the estimated time.

Shipping to your nearest Post office, delivery cost 5,00€. Pickup from our boutique in Ainoa Shopping Center (Tapionaukio 4, 02100 Espoo, Finland) for free.  
Order will be delivered within 5 working days from the day the order is placed.

Shipping with DHL, delivery cost 15,00€.
Order will be delivered within 5 working days from the day the order is placed.

Overseas (e.g. Canada, USA, Japan and China)
Shipping with DHL, delivery cost 20,00€.
Order will be delivered within 5 working days from the day the order is placed.

Please note; Outside of European Union, as ordering VAT free, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you reside in; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.

Designium Brand Group Oy (the parent company of the brand Marita Huurinainen) cannot be held responsible for any damage or losses of goods by the delivery company.

Exchange and return

You can exchange or return the ordered item. In Finland you have 14 working days time to return the goods from the day you have received them. Outside Finland you have 14 working days time to return the goods from the day you have received them. Kindly notice that the shipping costs for the return package is paid by us.

Items should be returned new, unused and in the same condition as you received them. Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered will not be accepted and will be sent back to the customer. Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit. Shoe boxes should also be protected as they are considered part of the product and your return may not be accepted if the box is damaged. Returns will be processed within 1-3 working days, from the day we have received the returned item.

How to return the item

1. Inform us with an email online(at) about the return or exchange you would like to make.
2. We will reply to you with the return instructions. We will cover the return shipping costs.
3. Pack the item you want to return carefully. You can use the package that it was sent in to you.
4. Send the package to our address: Marita Huurinainen, Designium Brand Group Oy, Pohjoisesplanadi 29, 00100 Helsinki, Finland.


Please note that card refunds may take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.

If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through Designium Brand Group Oy. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly.


The web pages where you as a customer insert payment details are secure pages. Most web browsers use symbols to show that you are visiting a secure web page.
The personal details given will be only used by Designium Brand Group Oy in order to fulfill your order.


The products have a warranty of 2 years, assuming normal use.

Force majeure

If Designium Brand Group Oy fails to comply with the argument because of unusual adverse circumstances outside of its control due to force majeure such as strikes, civil unrest, war or natural catastrophes, then Designium Brand Group Oy cannot be held responsible.

You must not misuse the website. You must not commit or encourage a criminal offence, transmit or distribute virus or any other material, which is malicious, technologically harmful, in breach of confidence or in any way offensive or obscene. You must not hack into service, corrupt data, cause annoyance to other users, send spam or try to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through this website.

We cannot guarantee our pictures to display color, proportion and detail with 100 % accuracy.
